These past few weeks I have been particularly inspired by Seed's pieces in store. For those who aren't familiar with the brand, they are renowned for their simple and sophisticated style. I stumbled across their 'Button through tie' top in the city last week and thought OMG! Way too cute. See below!
I've seen this style done by many bloggers a while ago imitating this look using men's button up shirts. Thought I'd give it a go and I love it! I think this style top can be pulled off for a variety of occasions - from lunch with friends to a dinner, if it's done right. SO, I've done a step by step tutorial below for you! This might not only be the way (or the right way) but it has worked well for me. Comment below if you ladies have found a different way! All you need is a button up shirt (women's or men's) and a strapless bra!
1. Button up the shirt until it is secure around your chest, then tuck in the edges into your bra.
2. Cross the sleeves, fix and fold areas into shape.
3. Tie a double knot! Either in the middle or to the side.
4. Pair it with shorts, midi skirts, culottes, skinnies, palazzo pants!
